Bespoke trips to meet your class’s individual needs, we’ll work with you to create an engaging and inspirational day outside the classroom. We offer a history that spans the Stone Age to the present day as well as vast Parkland to survey, ponds to dip and formal gardens to explore. Various locations and buildings around the Estate are incorporated into the day giving students the opportunity to explore the beautiful environment.

Geography
Ponds and ancient woodland, herds of deer and rare-breed cattle: St Osyth Priory offers an array of field study possibilities.

St Osyth Priory Education Centre welcomes pre-booked groups on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during term time from 10am until 2pm.

Yes, there are toilets in the Education Centre. An accessible toilet for those with disabilities is also available, equipped with a baby changing unit.
There is currently no gift shop or café at St Osyth Priory so your class should bring packed lunches and snacks with them on the day. We are able to refill water bottles and provide hot drinks for adults. Please bring your own travel cup with you.
Yes, the classroom is a bright modern space equipped with tables and chairs for everyone in your group and audio-visual equipment. Most of the education programmes make use of the classroom at some point during the day although the emphasis is on getting out into the Estate’s historic buildings and beautiful natural environment as much as possible.
Your trip will go ahead as planned unless there is a weather warning. The classroom space in the Education Centre is warm and dry and can be used as a lunch room in the event of wet weather. Education programming will be moved into the Education Centre and Medieval chapel as necessary in bad weather.
Free parking for coaches is available on West Field Lane, St. Osyth, CO16 8GW. Passengers can exit vehicles safely here.
